This weekend is our Lea Ann Belter 2010 collection Preview and Trunk Show at Promise. We are one of the only boutiques in the country to host a preview of her 2010 collection at our boutique - and we are really excited!
Lea Ann's Spring 2010 collection was shown recently at Spring New York Bridal Market to rave reviews, and will be at Promise this weekend (May 1st and 2nd). Washington DC brides-to-be will be able get a sneak peek at her Spring 2010 collection, as well as some of her classic pieces. Lea Ann's Spring 2010 gowns will not be in any bridal boutiques till late summer or early fall this year - so this is a great opportunity to choose your elegant and romantic Lea Ann Belter gown!

More DCCWC Green Wedding!
The free Green Wedding given by the DCCWC was on Earth Day (this past Wednesday) and winners Dana & David had a wonderful day! The wedding was at the intimate and elegant Decatur House and planned by Katie at Elegance and Simplicity. Elegance and Simplicity also designed all the flowers. Cakes by Design created Dana and David's delicious cake, and Dana looked lovely in her Adele Wechsler gown from Promise (Carola Meyers was her makeup artist who applied a finishing touch). Adele Wechsler custom-designed the bow on back of Dana's gown to resemble a traditional bow called the korum, found on Korean wedding clothes, to honor David's Korean heritage!

DCCWC Green Wedding featured on WJLA!
Back in February, Promise participated in the DCCWC Wedding Show at the Decatur House, where Katie of Elegance and Simplicity announced the winner of a $50,000 Free Green Wedding - a total dream green wedding package including the Decatur House as the venue, the planning services of Elegance & Simplicity, catering from Avalon Caterers, music from Mydeejay.com, a free Eco Couture dress from Promise and Adele Wechsler , styling from Polished Image and Style, makeup from Carola Meyers, photography by and more!

May 1st and 2nd, Lea Ann Belter is sending Promise her newest collection shown at New York Bridal Market.
We are so excited to be one of the first boutiques in the country to have her Spring 2010 collection visit (we are 100% trying all of them on)! At Promise's Adele Wechsler Trunk Show!
We had so much fun at our Adele Wechsler Trunk Show! 40 of Adele's fabulous gowns (as well as her lovely hair accessories) were on hand for just for the weekend. Yummy cupcakes from Bethesda's own Frosting for each soon-to-be-wed, and Ashlee from Documentary Associates came by to snap a few pictures (every image posted here is her wonderful work). We all had a blast helping ladies choose THE gown for their wedding day!

Adele Wechsler Trunk Show March 6-7 at Promise
At Promise, we are SO very excited for our first Adele Wechsler Trunk Show on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7!
We adore Adele's incredibly inspired Eco Couture collection. It is filled with lovely gowns with wonderful, thoughtful details - not to mention the motivation behind creating a couture collection of gowns composed entirely of organic fabric!
Adele's Eco Couture collection, as well as several classics, will be at Promise for a trunk show on Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7. During the trunk show, brides to be who choose their gown that weekend will receive 10% off, a watercolor sketch of their gown (created personally by Adele), their initials monogrammed into the lining of the gown, and a tree planted in their name by treegivers.com!

All About our Lea-Ann Belter Trunk Show
We had so much fun at our Lea-Ann Belter Trunk Show this past weekend! Not only because we had so many fabulous Lea-Ann Belter gowns on hand, but also because Lea-Ann was here!She loved seeing Promise's new digs (she hadn't visited since we were on Wisconsin Avenue) and loved reading the
wonderful post the ladies at District Weddings wrote about her - she couldn't resist making a comment on their blog!It was a crazy busy day, and many brides-to-be chose a Lea-Ann Belter gown as THE one they would wear down the aisle. As each lady chose her gown, Lea-Ann sketched the gown they chose and gave the sketch as a keepsake - how wonderful is that?!
Thanks to Documentary Associates Photography, Tom was on hand to snap pictures of brides to capture the moment they chose their gowns, as well as take photos of the brides with Lea-Ann. Of course, I can't post pictures of our brides in the dresses they chose (no big reveal until the wedding day), but here is a peek of what our day
