New L'ezu Atelier Gown at Promise!

Oh.

You have NO idea how long we have waited for this L'ezu Atelier gown. We saw it at Fall Market and fell in love. The pintucked organza, mushroom pleated skirt, Alencon Lace....oh swoon! The super sophisticated mermaid shape and special detail had us at hello.

Needless to say, we had style 1330 (ugly name - beautiful gown) whipped out of the box and on my mom (I WISH I was as tall and model-like) in like five seconds.

Promise Goes to a Photo Shoot at National Museum of Women in the Arts

Katie, owner of Elegance and Simplicity (wedding planning, flowers, and more) in Bethesda is writing a book!

If I told you what it is about, I would have to make threats so you wouldn't tell! It's kind of a secret. So, instead, I will just say it is going to be a great book on a subject near and dear to Promise's (and my) heart!

Katie asked Promise to provide gowns specific to her topic for the photo shoot for her book. How exciting is that!? So on Sunday, Tom and Ashlee from Documentary Associates (photographers and excellent photojournalism for your wedding), Katie (who not only wrote the book but also did all the flowers), and myself all headed down to The National Museum of Women in the Arts for the day. ALL day.
But it was fun! I won't have any of the wonderful images Tom and Ashlee took for a little while, so for now you will have our "behind the scenes" pics. That's me in the goofy blue panda t-shirt. So glamorous the life of a bridal shop owner!

Note the crazy orange clips in the back of every gown - perfect for brides-to-be who try on gowns at Promise and for photo shoots! Orange clips make everything look great...from the front!

So along with Tess, Bridget, Drew, Nicole, Alyssa, and other new Lea Ann Belter gowns, we at last have Genevieve! We are in love.

An Alencon lace bodice sprinkled with freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals, a flattering pleated cummerbund, and delicate organza skirt (all underlayed with silk duchess satin) in a lovely and wearable A-line! What's not to love??

New Aire "Denise" gown at Promise!

Aire is based in Barcelona, Spain. The collection is full of gowns with dramatic details and silhouettes, and is perfect for brides-to-be who are searching for a spectacular (and affordable) gown!

The first gown to arrive at Promise is "Denise." Denise has a low dropped waist that highlights curves, and she is balanced with a full, tiered, and ruffled skirt that swishes when you spin around (we know this since we all tried it on and swirled around the store). We were so sad when our Lea Ann Belter Trunk Show ended. All those wonderful gowns shipped off to another lucky boutique for another Trunk Show!

Happily for us, our post-Trunk Show blues were gone in a flash when we received our new Paige gown from Lea Ann Belter! Paige is a brand new style from Lea Ann - so new, in fact, that she has not even photographed it for her website yet!

We love the Paige - the full, pleated, and light silk dupioni skirt with a classic V-neckline, Alencon lace detail on the bodice, and sparkly belt finish! Divine!
