Elizabeth Fillmore Spring 2009 Collection

We were thrilled to see the new Elizabeth Fillmore collection at bridal market!

Elizabeth was our last stop on a whirlwind weekend of bridal gowns during Market in New York. We viewed Elizabeth's collection in her light filled, serene studio - it was a perfect oasis after a crazy weekend, and an ideal setting for taking in Elizabeth's feminine, elegant gowns. Her collection perfectly balances modernity with timelessness - a breathtaking combination.

Describing her collection, Elizabeth said,

“With this collection of dresses, in addition to working with special fabrics of unearthly beauty, I incorporated handmade and archival trims into my designs –patterns developed from Renaissance to early 1900’s motifs. By intertwining these richly textured “floral” motifs as accents within the Elizabeth Fillmore silhouettes, I combined rich pieces of the past with feminine clean shapes. This is the essence of my ever-evolving & ethereally elegant modern bride."

Adding to the intertwining of past and present, jewelry designer Meridith Griffin created a stunning collection of jewelry that was paired with just about every gown. Meridith's jewelry is available through Elizabeth Fillmore, and is comprised of vintage Czech crystals, antique gold, and fabric elements like chiffon, taffeta, and satin.

Needless to say, we had the most difficult time selecting our gowns for Promise...and we'll keep our selections a surprise! For now, though, here are some images to dream about!
