Promise Newlywed Spotlight - Gabriela & Sunalei!

Gabriela & Sunalei were married on August 16th in Playa Marsella, San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. We were so excited to see all the images! Ever since Gabriela came to Promise with her Aunt to see Claire Pettibone's collection and told us about her wedding, we started reminding her we wanted pictures.

When Gabriela first visited Promise, she was certain she wanted a Claire Pettibone gown. Not only that, she had already narrowed it down to a few...or really just one, the gown she chose was her favorite before even trying it on! During her first visit, we told her about our Claire Pettibone Trunk Show, and she made an appointment immediately to see the gowns she had in mind that would be at the Trunk Show but that we did not carry at Promise.







At the Claire Pettibone Trunk Show, she chose the gown she knew she had her eye on from the very beginning - Helena! With embroidery and a light organic beading detail, Helena is natural, exquisite and compelling. Gabriela looks totally divine, and every bit as ethereal, romantic, feminine, and alluring as she wanted to be on her wedding day. When telling me about her choice, Gabriela said "I was immediately inspired when I laid eyes on this Claire Pettibone gown to have my wedding decorated in a Greek/1920's/romantic candle-lit, but always natural, sort of way. If that makes sense. The Claire Pettibone gown I chose is named Helena, which reminds me of the Greek story of Helen of Troy. When I tried it on, I felt like it would be a dress that Helen of Troy would have worn. It made me feel mythical, legendary, and immortal. Beautiful was just not enough for me on my wedding day." We second that! In each picture Gabriela is radiant, and Sunalei looks like he is on cloud 9!

Gabriela & Sunalei's ceremony and reception were at the Hotel Marsella, a lovely hotel on a virgin beach on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua. Gabriela says that one side of the hotel has a dramatic ocean view while the other is jungle where Howler Monkeys live! It all sounds (and looks) incredible.
